Accommodations are newly renovated but are located in buildings that were built in 1905, so guests can appreciate the charm of historic architecture with the luxury of modern amenities.
Both of our vacation rentals are available for short or long term rental, and can be paired with our event rental spaces for special events. Staying in either the Carriage House or Tracy’s Place gives guests access to the pool, self-guided history tours, and walking paths throughout the ranch.

Carriage House
Unwind at Ridgewood Ranch in this charming cottage attached to the Historic Carriage House. Built in 1905, this beautiful building is classic and tells a story. Used at one point to house the Buicks of Charles Howard, owner of Seabiscuit, it is now used as an open and tasteful event space with a charming cottage for guests to stay.
Renovated with comfort and beauty in mind, the Carriage House is a lovely place to settle in. With WiFi, heating, and AC, guests can stay connected and comfortable. The cottage's one bathroom with a bathtub provides a pleasant space to relax after a day of exploring.

Tracy’s Place
Relax and unwind at scenic Ridgewood Ranch. Once home to the legendary racehorse Seabiscuit, Ridgewood Ranch is a 5,000 acre working ranch and residential community that is a haven of natural beauty and historic charm. This cozy apartment cottage is attached to the historic Howard House, constructed in 1905.
Enjoy your morning coffee or an evening cocktail on large front and back porches with sweeping views of Ridgewood Ranch's picturesque valley and the surrounding coastal mountains. With 1 bedroom with a queen bed, a bathroom with a shower, and essential amenities like heating, AC, and WiFi, plus close proximity to a pool (summer season only) we have everything you need to relax and unwind at this unique Mendocino County retreat.
